A Letter from Our Community

Happy May ya’ll!! May is a great time of year. We have Mother’s Day on the 12th and it makes me think about my momma and how wonderful she is. She lives in Missouri so I don’t get to see her very often. We also have Memorial day. This is a great day of reflection and thankfulness, not to mention it is considered the unofficial start of SUMMER!!! Summer has always been the best time of year for me. When I was growing up we spent nearly every weekend at the lake. We would fish, swim and water ski. I remember my first time water skiing. I was 5 years old and I had to use these great big adult skis. My dad started the boat and pulled me right up. The only problem was I had no idea how to stop so he dragged me around the lake for what seems like a lifetime before he figured out I didn’t know how to stop. I was so exhausted but it was so much fun!
